Klelia Orestis Released from United Toughness Alliance Contract
Posted on October 30, 2025 by WrestleUTA.com in RumorsReports have surfaced from within the United Toughness Alliance that Greek-born competitor Klelia Orestis has officially been released from her contract with the promotion.
Orestis, who debuted last month to a notable reception, appeared only twice during her brief tenure in UTA. Her most memorable moment came in her in-ring debut, where she scored an upset victory over rising star Athena Storm — a win that seemed to position her as a promising new addition to the women’s division. However, she had not been seen on UTA programming since that night, leading many to question her status with the company.
Sources close to the situation suggest that the release was mutual, with Orestis reportedly seeking to focus on personal and family matters overseas. Others within the locker room cite possible creative direction shifts as a contributing factor to her quiet departure.
Born in Athens, Greece, Klelia Orestis — the daughter of Hellenic Seaways CEO Philip Orestis and pharmaceutical executive Eleni Orestis — was seen as a unique signing for UTA, blending her wealthy background and legitimate martial arts training (holding a black belt in taekwondo) into an intriguing presentation.
UTA officials have yet to comment publicly on her release, though insiders indicate the door may remain open for a future return.
With her blend of discipline, poise, and international appeal, many expect that if Orestis continues her wrestling career elsewhere, it won’t be long before she resurfaces on the global stage.
