The United Toughness Alliance continues to strengthen its team behind the scenes — this time with major moves in its officiating ranks.

Joining longtime referees Joe Bloom and Mark Signal, the UTA has officially hired Sarah O'Connor, marking a historic moment as the first female referee in the company’s history.

“Sarah’s got the poise, presence, and credibility to call it right down the middle,” one agent told me. “She’s earned this.”

Also joining the crew is Ben Hall, a well-regarded official with experience on the independent circuit and a reputation for crisp, authoritative in-ring command.

The additions come as UTA continues to expand its touring schedule and roster, signaling a renewed focus on match quality and consistency across the board.

With Bloom, Signal, O’Connor, and Hall now comprising the core of the referee team, insiders say this new mix brings balance, fresh energy, and legitimacy to the promotion’s officiating — just in time for its next chapter.
