Marie Van Claudio

There are a lot of things you can say about Marie Van Claudio. You can love her, or you can hate her, you cannot deny that Marie Van Claudio is an important part of the United Toughness Alliance.  Born on April 15th, 1989 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Marie is the fifth child out of the Van Claudio family. Her father Jacques, was a wrestler in Paris, France and earned his living wrestling in the French Wrestling scene. Her mother, Colette, was a teacher in Paris. While Jacques was on the road with wrestling, Colette stood home and took care of the children. Marie's two siblings, Jacques Jr and Veronica, were wrestlers with Jacques retiring in 2019 and Veronica retiring in 2020 respectfully. Though Marie's younger sister, Brielle is in the process of becoming a wrestler. She still has yet to have her big break yet.  Marie made her debut in wrestling in 2010 and it was off to a slow start, especially when she went to Underground Championship Wrestling where she met her future husband, Preston Stuart. Marie did eventually get off on a track, though right in the midst of it, the company closed due to financial issues. It wasn't until 2014 where Marie came across United Toughness Alliance and decided to test it out. Once Marie signed, she didn't expect what she would get into.  Marie's UTA career started off slowly and was on the losing end of a couple of matches. During that time, she developed rivalries with Kush, Mikey Unlikey, Zhalia Fears and many others. Marie developed a lot of jealousy because she wanted the focus to be on her where many believed that she had created a huge ego for herself. However, it wasn't until the start of 2015 where Marie shut everyone up. She faced off against Dynasty's Kathryn Velmont Thomas and shocked the hell out of everyone in the back by defeating her, thus becoming the NEW First Lady of the UTA.  She rode that momentum until a sudden halt where in March of 2015, her mother became very sick and she had to return back to Montreal to take care of her. It wasn't until May of that year where Marie was called back to action. Though because the field in the UTA was bigger than before, Marie had to work her way back in, until she received the opportunity of a lifetime. In July of 2015, Marie faced off against La Flama Blanca for the World Champion and almost won the championship from him! Even though the match did end in a "no contest", it put eyes on Marie even more. From there, Marie's roller coaster of a career happened where one minute she was hot and then next minute she was cold. Towards the end of 2015, Marie would be in a heated feud against the women who she brought into this place, Amy Harrison. Before it could get resolved, the UTA shut down for the time being until coming back in 2016.  Marie would rejoin the company and pick up where she left off. She resolved her issues with Amy Harrison and became the face of the upstarting Women's Division that was happening. History was made in the summer of 2016 where Marie Van Claudio would finally reach the mountain of becoming the first and only UTA Women's Champion by eliminating Zhalia Fears in a battle royal! Marie's life changed, though it was short lived after the UTA Women's Championship was deactivated. She felt like all of her hard work was not worth it and because of everything, she felt "burnt out" and mutually departed the company. From there, Marie didn't want to even think of wrestling because of the way it ended and proceeded to have a normal life. In 2018, Marie would start a family by welcoming her first daughter to the world and then in 2020, she would add a second daughter to her family.  However, around when the world was shut down, Marie developed the itch to come back to wrestling and didn't know what was open as the only company that she knew of was United Toughness Alliance. In 2022, she did come back to wrestling, and wrestled in a tournament. She didn't stay that long as she persuaded other ventures. However, when she heard UTA was coming back for the 25th Anniversary, she knew she had to be here, especially seeing the Women's Division, a division she was once in, come to life.  In the summer of 2025, Marie Van Claudio made her ultimate comeback as she knew that she had unfinished business within the company. At Wrestle UTA 25, Marie Van Claudio made her triumpth in ring return in a critically accliamed match against Valkyrie Knoxx. The match did not go her way as she was defeated by Knox, but the respect of the UTA fans was given to her until her long time rival, Amy Harrison attacked her, thus those two going on a warpath to see who would become the leader of the Women's Division. Marie went to war with Amy Harrison throughout the second part of 2025 over the Women's Championship, even putting together a army. However, it was Black Horizon where the first lady of the UTA decided to become a "One Women Army" and declared War. Finally, at Seasons Beatings 2025, and after evening she has gone through, Marie re-captured the Women's World Championship by defeating Amy Harrison, making her tap out in the middle of the ring, thus seeling ten years of heartbreak.  As the leader of the Women's Division, Marie is going to push the division as high as it could be, but it's not going to be a easy one for her.
