"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Once a decorated airborne ranger and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Gunnar Van Patton, born Gunnar Jakob Head, transformed from a star-spangled protector into a brutal, misanthropic force in professional wrestling. Perceived to be in his early to mid-30s, this 6'2", 241 lb powerhouse with blond hair, blue eyes, and a tattooed physique, lost an eye in a car accident, now concealed by a patch. This "Fallen Soldier" lives and breathes combat, despising the frivolous aspects of wrestling and seeking only the most brutal fights to quench his unyielding thirst for battle. While capable with weapons, he considers their use beneath him, preferring his own formidable body as the ultimate instrument of destruction. Van Patton's wrestling journey is defined by relentless discipline and a thirst for mastery. After his military service, he transitioned into the squared circle, undergoing extensive and diverse training across the globe. He honed his Strong-style and Toryumon techniques in Japan under the tutelage of the legendary Kaiju Kid. His grappling prowess was further refined in Europe through technical wrestling lessons from K.R. Kroenen, while Piotr Rossovich instilled a brutal Russian hardcore/extreme-style. Finally, his striking became devastating under the guidance of Muay Thai master Buakaw Sit-Hirun. Early in his career, he even wrestled under a mask as Arkady Rasputin to honor Rossovich. This eclectic and brutal training forged his in-ring style: a testament to methodical efficiency, high ring IQ, and a hybrid approach that allows him to adapt to any opponent. Over the years, he has left a path of destruction through various federations like ACW, jOlt, and DEFIANCE, and showcased his versatility in tag teams such as The Walking Dead, The Supernatural SWAT (as Arkady Rasputin), The Lycans, and The Dead Cell. Beyond the ring, his affairs are handled by his lawyer, Avril Selene Kinkade, and he remains a devoted Chevrolet fan and connoisseur of energy drinks, his past heroism now consumed by a relentless pursuit of combat.

Entrance Description

The crowd was loud a moment ago. Not anymore.

Now there was a ripple. Not panic, not excitement. Something lower. A murmur that crawled up the backs of their necks and told them to pay attention.

Then the music hit.

♫ “Boots and Blood” by Five Finger Death Punch ♫

It didn’t come through the speakers so much as detonate from them. A sharp, ragged scream, and then the drums kicked in, heavy and fast. The lights died, and strobe bursts took over, each flash cutting the darkness like gunfire in a thunderstorm.

He came through the curtain without a word.

Gunnar Van Patton didn’t play to the audience. He didn’t wave. He didn’t look left or right. He walked. Straight ahead. Each step measured, every muscle quiet but loaded. He had the build of a man who trained because the world had given him no other choice.

The ring was twenty feet away. He made it feel like ten.

He hit the apron low, one hand on the mat, and then launched forward with a clean, fluid motion. No wasted movement. He slid beneath the bottom rope like he was sliding into cover, then popped up in one smooth move. Front handspring. Feet under him. Eyes up.

He was in.

No delay.

He stripped off the black t-shirt, flicked it into the crowd, then pulled off the trucker cap and sent that flying too. No ceremony. Just gear he didn’t need anymore.

The referee approached. Standard procedure. Gunnar didn’t speak. He just held out his arms. Let the guy do his job.

Once cleared, he backed into the corner.

No sound now. No show. He adjusted his gloves, cinched down the wrist straps, checked the pads on his knees and elbows. He didn’t rush. Every movement was practiced, like he’d done it a thousand times before and could do it a thousand more.

Then he went still.

Head forward. Breathing slow.

His eyes locked on the center of the ring.

He wasn’t waiting for applause. He wasn’t waiting for the bell.

He was waiting for the war to start.
