Championship Landscape Shifts Dramatically Following Birmingham Stop of the Great Southern Trendkill Tour

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The United Toughness Alliance’s Great Southern Trendkill Tour is off to a historic start, and its first stop in Birmingham, Alabama delivered more than just hard-hitting action—it brought seismic shifts to the championship picture.

In a night filled with surprises, heartbreak, and legacy-defining moments, multiple titles were retired, new championships were unveiled, and a shocking title change may have just redefined the power structure of the UTA roster.

πŸ† Florida Titles Officially Retired

In a decision months in the making, the UTA has formally retired both the Florida State Championship and the Florida State Women’s Championship.

These titles, once central to UTA’s regional touring strategy, were rendered obsolete as the promotion expanded back onto the national and global stage. UTA management confirmed during the broadcast that the titles have been retired with honor and will remain part of the promotion's rich history—archived in the official title lineage but no longer active.

“As we move forward, we do so by acknowledging the legacy of those titles—and the competitors who helped elevate them,” UTA General Manager Scott Stevens said during an in-ring announcement.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Women’s United States Championship Introduced

With the retirement of the Florida State Women’s Championship, UTA wasted no time in introducing a new national-level title for the women's division: the UTA Women’s United States Championship.

This move reflects the division's rapid growth and rising prominence, especially after the instant classic Fatal Four-Way at One Last Stop. While no champion has been crowned yet, sources indicate that a multi-week tournament may be on the horizon, with a possible finale slated for WrestleUTA: Red, White & Bruised later this year.

“This division has never been deeper,” said UTA Women’s Champion Valkyrie Knox backstage. “And the U.S. Title will push every woman on this roster to level up.”

πŸ† Iron City’s Graysie Parker Wins WrestleZone Championship

In what many are calling the shock of the night, Iron City Wrestling standout Graysie Parker walked into hostile territory—and walked out with the WrestleZone Championship.

Facing Aaron Shaffer, one of UTA’s brightest rising stars, Parker showed grit, speed, and precision—ultimately forcing Shaffer to submit in the middle of the ring in her hometown. The victory sends shockwaves across the industry, as Parker now holds a UTA championship while still representing Iron City Wrestling.

The match wasn’t without drama. In the days leading up to the event, General Manager Scott Stevens had warned Shaffer not to “let that title leave UTA.” But that’s exactly what happened.

“Graysie earned this moment,” said ICW officials in a brief statement. “And now she’s bringing that gold home.”

What comes next? That’s the million-dollar question. Will Parker appear at future UTA events? Will she defend the WrestleZone title on ICW programming? UTA brass remain tight-lipped.

A New Era Begins

With two titles retired, one championship debuting, and another unexpectedly changing hands, the message is clear: The Great Southern Trendkill Tour is here to reshape the UTA as we know it.
