UTA adds yet another name to their ranks as things shape up heading toward AoN '15
Company officials and multiple media outlets confirm that “King” Pin Smith, a highly touted up and coming name in the wrestling world, has signed an exclusive contract with WrestleUTA. Details of the deal were not made immediately available, although sources close to the negotiations report that the 29 year old has indeed passed his physical and is scheduled to make his on-air debut February 21st during the airing of Victory XXVI against fellow UTA newcomer Teddy Alexander.
The news comes as a shock to most wrestling pundits because of the small body of work Smith retains. Only wrestling in five professional matches, “King” Pin is undefeated but, according to multiple scouts, is also still raw and unpolished. One wrestling executive tells wrestleUTA.com that Smith “has all the tools to be a star, not sure if he knows how to use them yet.” One other scout said that Smith came up through “small, soft” promotions that “held his hand” too much.
Follow this story and all the action in the coming days as UTA gears up for All or Nothing 2015 and heads down the homestretch to Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
