The crowning of a new champion. The formation of a Dynasty that is threatening to dominate the top of Wrestle UTA's card for a long time to come. A steel cage match that stole the spotlight. Ring King left many memorable impressions on the Wrestle UTA faithful, but one man would argue the biggest thing coming off of Ring King never happened.
“Sure, it was a good enough show,” said Grady Patrick when I found him walking the halls of the American Airlines Center. “But it could have used a little something more.”
That something more, as we've found out since, is the signing of former GCW standouts Alexander Redding and Theodore Palmer, aka Red and Ted.
When he was prompted about the backstage segment aired on HOWTv suggesting the group's arrival on the August 24th show, Grady credited the mistake to, “an error in judgement by UTA brass.”
Grady left with his prediction for what the arrival of the former GCW US, TV and Hardcore champions would mean for UTA, “Hurt bodies and hurt egos, but more importantly, merch sales galore!”
