The show opened as the second part of the fWo's presentation of "The Road to CyberSlam". Chris Finn was at fWo towers in Redmond, Washington, and introduced the first match, which saw the first in-ring performance of Jim Dudley, Briana, Ultra Violet, and Scotty Cool.
This match would see the introduction of multiple champions. Jim Dudley, who is no longer with the fWo, would go on to hold a tag title briefly, and the fWo World Title on two occasions. Briana was the first fWo Women's Champion, an honor she has held multiple times as well. Scotty Cool and Ultra Violet would go on to join forces as Ultra Cool, a team that held the fWo tag titles, as well as the Internet, Crusierweight, and World title between them. The deciding factor in this match came not from the people in the ring however, but the people outside. Both the Falcon and the late Ripper were assigned to each team's corner, and the two quickly stabbed the wrestlers inside the ring in the back. The Falcon and the Ripper would form a short-lived union that would later dissolve over jealosy over the Internet title, when the Ripper was unable to do what the Falcon could... pin Austin Davis
Chris Finn introduced the crowd to Jim Dudley, who was present to talk about his experiances in the fWo and specifically, CyberSlam. Jim Dudley spoke about the events that led to his departure from the fWo, namely the situation he found himself in with the Dark Riders. Jim Dudley defeated Death in a "loser leaves the fWo match" nearly six months ago, but in doing so was consumed himself. Dudley told the camera crew that winning the fWo title was one of the greatest moments in his career, and he hoped that someday he would be able to find himself in the position of returning to the fWo, but it was a long road he had to travel before he could get to that point.
The 30-man battle royal was the first special attraction non-typical wrestling match the fWo had, and for the greatest prize in fWo history, the fWo World Title. Machina, who had been injured earlier, was unable to compete in the battle royal. After a brutal fifty minutes of brawling and intense action, only five men remained. Cactus Jon, Stevie Roberts, Austin Davis, the Brawler, and Jim Dudley. Stevie Roberts was tossed from the ring by his supposed friend and mentor, Death. Cactus Jon eliminated the Brawler, and Davis eliminated Jon. Seizing the opportunity, Jim Dudley sent Austin Davis over the top rope, and was declaired the fWo World Champion, an honor he would hold until being beaten by Cactus Jon a few months later. The final four men in the battle royal, Austin Davis, Cactus Jon, the Brawler, and Stevie Roberts would later meet in a fatal four-way battle for the Internet title, a title Austin Davis would claim.
Scott Slugger and Scotty Cool were seated in the fWo towers for an interview. Both men were obviously uncomfortable with the situation, and were unwilling to sit near each other. It was Scott Slugger who defeated Scotty Cool for the World Championship just a week earlier. Scott Slugger talked about how he was given a lame match at CyberSlam, one against a jobber and wasn't worth showing. Scott Slugger told the fWo crew that he would be walking into CyberSlam '99 the champion, and would be defeating whomever won the main event "No Escape" special match. Scotty Cool told the crew that he had something to settle with Stevie Roberts, and that he wouldn't listen to reason, so Stevie Roberts would get some sense beaten into him, courtesy of Scotty Cool. Scotty Cool then confronted Scott Slugger, and told him that he intended to win No Escape, and take back his title at CyberSlam. The two stood and began to shove each other when Chaos attacked from behind, sending both men to the ground. With Scotty Cool knocked out, Plague and War picked up Scott Slugger and threw him through a glass window before screaming that "He is coming... back!" The cameras went off the air as Chris Finn reminded everyone to tune into Wednesday Warfare for live fWo action...
