Slaughter XXIV

16 Nov 2009

Broadbent Arena, Louisville, Kentucky (seats 6,600)

No Longer The Puppet Master

A scene opens up, with Travis Williams in a chair, tied up. The words "Previously Recorded" on the screen. Travis is almost minus all his face paint. His facial hair and the hair on his head have started to fuzz up. All signs lead to believe that Travis has not been freed since Anti-Hero took him at Golden Dreams. A shadow appears in front of Travis, as the camera pans up and spots the mask of Anti-Hero.

"You use to control me. Your mental status determined whether or not Anti-Hero would live from one day to next. You use to be my puppet master, now you are just helpless soul waiting to be put out of your misery. I could it now, but what would be the fun Travis? I am no longer YOU! I am a plague, and I have infected another soul for playtime."

He slaps Travis, to wake him up. Travis looks up at Anti-Hero with shock still in his eyes.

"YOU ARE NOT REAL! YOU ARE A COPYCAT! WHO LET YOU NEAR MY PERSONAL COLLECTION?"

Anti-Hero grabs Travis by the throat, and prevents him from talking anymore.

"I am no rip-off. I am who I am, the man behind this mask is Anti-Hero…You are not the creator of me, I only manifested in you, until I could find a body for my own. You will be left take another breath, and to sell your story to the news sites. I won’t take your existence yet…December 7th, 2009…You will face me inside a ring. I will take your career and your life legit! Mark, you heard the challenge and I tell you he accepts. Travis dies IN YOUR RING!"

Introduction

The DREAM logo appears across the screen then explodes into the Monday Night Slaughter on HOTv logo. Next the intro video package begins to air set to Drake ft. Kayne West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem's "Forever". We get superstar shots of everyone currently on the Slaughter roster with different action shots in a dark blue tint. Once it fades away the camera pans across the Slaughter entrance stage. The entrance is accompanied by a burial plot with a nearby tracker and front end scoop. Pyros begin to fire in the air and the fans scream.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Monday Night Slaughter on H.O.T.v in full HD! I'm Jason Whiteside and we're coming to you LIVE from the Broadbent Arena, in Louisville, Kentucky."

The camera pans across the fans holding signs and screaming.

"Tonight we have a good show for you, and as always will display the talents of the best performers in the sport today!"

The camera heads to the top of the stage.

"Let's get it started NOW!"

Bishop Steele vs. Force

Downfall by Trust Company blast through the speakers as the big screen flashes the word Force.

"Force now making his way to the ring. He is the first graduate of The Slaughter House school in Miami, Florida which is next to The Slaughter House arena which is still under construction."

As Force makes his way down the ramp, slaps the hands of screaming fans.

"Force was once a fan like those, in the crowd cheering his favorite performer. Now, he's made it here as he will debut against Bishop Steele who is on a roll."

Force walks up the steps, tripping slightly, but able to catch himself. He enters the ring between the ropes and his music fades. The lights get dim and the crowd silences. The Slaughter theme, Forever, cues over the PA system and the crowd gets hyped.

Pyros go off on the corners of the stage. The curtains open and out comes Bishop and Alexis Steele. Bishop stops on the middle of the stage and looks around at the crowd as he soaks in the essence of the hype and screaming. He then looks at Alexis and nods to her to signal that it is time. He then makes his way down to the ring with Alexis right behind him. He then climbs into the ring and holds the ropes so Alexis can get into the ring. He stands in the middle of the ring and Alexis poses in front of him, as that happens Pyros go off on the corner post of the ring and then the lights come on.

"Bishop Steele ready to open this show against Force."

Alexis heads to the outside of the ring as both men warm up.

"We're about to kick Slaughter off with this nicely set debut match of Force. The bell sounds and we get things started."

The two men lock up.

"Steele quickly takes the lead as he whips Force into the ropes."

As Force returns he meets the elbow of a spinning Bishop Steele, sending him to the mat.

"Force sent right down by Steele who can still be considered new to DREAM himself."

Bishop leaps up, bringing a knee down as he drops it onto Force's chest.

"Big knee drop by Bishop Steele."

Steele gets to his feet, lifting Force up with him. Force stops halfway, and picks Bishop up.

"Inverted Atomic Drop by Force!"

Steele bounces up and back to the mat.

"Force lifts Steele back to his feet."

Bishop pushes Force back before throwing a big right at him that connects.

"They both are now exchanging rights and lefts. Steele sends Force into the ropes. On his return, Bishop Steele connects with a knee to the gut."

Force flips over Bishop's knee, landing face up on the mat.

"Quick elbow drop by Steele."

As Steele gets to his feet, he pulls Force up with him. Halfway up, Force sends a fist into the midsection of Bishop Steele.

"Hard chop now by Force, followed by a second. Irish whip into the corner."

Force follows through by running towards Steele with his knee making contact. As Force moves out of the way, Steele falls foreword to the mat.

"Big, vicious stomps by the home grown Force."

Force grabs Bishop Steele and yanks him up.

"Another Irish whip by Force, Steele on the return. Force goes for a spear. NO! Bishop Steele leaps over, sunset flip into a pin!"

The crowd pops and the referee goes for the count, but Force is out at two.

"Never underestimate Bishop Steele. Both men to their feet now. Force rushes Steele, arm drag by Bishop. Up again. Force rushes once more, arm drag."

This time Force gets up in a three point stance. He lunges at Steele, who leap frogs over him. Both men bounce off of the opposite sides of the ring.

"Steele goes for a clothesline, he connects!"

Bishop goes down, covering Force as the referee drops to count.

"Three count by the referee giving Bishop Steele a pretty quick win over the newcomer, Force. However, Force showed he has a bright future and we hope to see more out of him in the weeks and months to come."

No where to run...

The calm…

The Bandits are on the prowl. Location, backstage at Broadbent Arena in Lousiville, KY. They have one thing on their mind...

"Lets find Lupin Cy."

That was Mr. Cool. He is dressed in his ring gear, COOL title strapped firmly around his waist. The shit eating grin that covered his face from the previous COOL Title reign has returned. His shades hide his blood shot eyes, as party time with ’The Dude’ seemed to start a tad early this week. I can tell because, ’The Dude’, dressed in his tailor made, egg white suit just so happened to forget his pair of COOL shades. His eyes are redder than Dorothy’s slippers. Oh yeah, he also has one half of the tag team titles around his waist. Damn Bandits got more gold than Fort Knox.

Not to mention, the uncontrollable giggling coming from El Dude-e.

"Hehehe…."

Probably at the thought of egging a one, Lupin Cy.

"Take it easy stoney Magoo. We got work to do. I may have shook Lupito‘s hand after it was all said and done on Sunday… but that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy egging the shit out of him"

There is our new DWF World Heavy weight Champion, said title belt draped over his shoulder. Typical Superman T, along with the accompanying half of ring gear fills this legend out. It appears that Doozy, and CCJ share similar sentiments in regard to Mr. Cy. I think it’s safe to say…

The Egg bandits are quite unhappy with the new Dream Champion.

To victor go the spoils… Ha.

"Yeah, I think it’s time we welcome him to the Champions Club. I have been chomping at the bit for this… You got the double yolks, Wham?"

"You betcha."

Last but not least, Whammy. The superstar manager of the stars (and butler) has the other half of the tag team titles filling in for the roll his cumber bund. The rest of his butler suit, a tad more themed for the Egg Bandits, as the hanky, half tucked in his breast pocket has a picture of an egg on it.

That’s style.

Whammy arms the Bandits with the double yolks.

"I’m gonna fucking kill him!!!!!!"

Jiles screams as he runs off, wanting to be the first to welcome The Dream Champ into the Champions Club, Egg Bandit style of course. Funny thing is Mr. Cool doesn’t get to far. Damn stoner. I guess he didn’t see the duffel bag in the middle of the hallway that must have ‘jumped’ out at him, casing him to trip and fall.

"You’re an idiot Jiles. Remember, we have to compete tonight… not that it’s going to be a competition, but we still have to go out there and put on a show. Don‘t go running off like a child… "

You called it Doozer, like a child. ‘The Dude’ has made his way over to the fallen COOL Champ by the time Doozer finishes his statement. The double yolk that CCJ was holding in his hand, now occupies the front part of his shirt. The White Knight helps Cancer to his feet. Jiles reaches down and throws the duffel bag down the hall a bit. Followed by a minor tantrum. The Dude then attempts to talk down the COOL champ before he jumps off the ledge…

"Let me guess, practicing the running dive bomb egg throw aka, the COOLBOILED…"

Cancer nods his head in agreement…

"Yeah… that’s it. I knew you would know, because you’re COOL in my book, Dude. Damn that Doozy, he‘s lucky I egged myself, cause if I still had an egg… I would egg his old ass for talking to me like he just did."

The last remark, said loud enough for the HOF’er to hear. Every action has a… Dooze goes to wind up and launch, but is stopped by the Wham-man…

"Save it for Cy… you guys can egg each other later… lets focus on the task at hand. Which should be the tag match, but… even I want to see the Lupin Cy Egg Shower."

Before the storm.

Adrien Cochrane vs. Daymare

The arena lights dim as the quick guitar intro from "Last One to Die" kicks into full force. Once the third line of the verse echoes from the arena, Adrien Cochrane comes out from behind the curtain with cheers from the fans. He hops to the ring as the chorus blares throughout the arena.

"We got right
You got it wrong
We're still around
Last one to die
We're going up
You're going down
We're still around
Last one to die!"

Adrien slides into the ring as the music fades and the lights return to full brightness.

Two spotlights of sunny yellow and white intersect over the aisle. Mumbles from the crowd, as the soft beginning of 'Rooster' by Alice N Chains plays sweetly in the ears. Casually walking out is the Yellow and Orange masked Daymare, who pauses at the entrance looking around. He clasps his hands together, and in three moving chops puts them near his head. It's Naptime.

As the chorus kicks in, Daymare kicks his left leg out and bends forward stamping one fist into the floor and pounding into his chest. He front rolls through that pose and quickly walks through the aisle as 'We don't wanna die' chills the bones.

Reaching ringside, he grabs the middle rope and jumps up but slides under the bottom rope on his back. Kipping up, he stands statuesque with what appears to be labored breathing not moving an inch until given instruction.

"This match has a possibility of being one of speed and skill."

The bell sounds to start the match and the participants touch hands before locking up.

"Daymare whips Adrien across... no, reversed. Daymare into the ropes. Cochrane follows up, as Daymare grabs the top rope and lifts himself up and over Adrien."

Daymare lands behind Adrien and jumps up, with a dropkick to the back, sending Cochrane over the top rope.

"Cochrane over, he's able to catch himself with the top rope."

Adrien lifts himself up and back into the ring behind a now turned around Daymare.

"Cochrane steps up, grabs Daymare. German suplex!"

Daymare flips but lands on his feet. He runs forward with a forearm shot to Adrien Cochrane's back.

"Daymare catches himself. Forearm. Another."

Adrien Cochrane rolls down and behind Daymare. He slides his arms up under Daymare's and behind his head.

"Full Nelson slam by Adrien Cochrane. He runs, leaps to the second rope and back with a moonsault that connects!"

Adrien hooks the leg of Daymare and the referee drops to count.

"Kickout by Daymare at two. Close call, but not close enough for Adrien."

Both men get to their feet.

"Quick lock up. Daymare takes control, placing Adrien Cochrane in a wrist lock. Cochrane now reverses the lock into his own. Quick kick, followed by an Irish whip. Daymare off of the ropes, arm drag by Cochrane."

Both men get to their feet. Daymare rushes Cochrane.

"Another quick arm drag, this time into an arm bar. Adrien Cochrane applies pressure."

Daymare kicks his legs, and is able to break free.

"Both men to their feet. They run at each other. Cochrane down, Daymare leaps over him."

Adrien jumps to his feet and turns as Daymare hits the ropes.

"Daymare on the return, Cochrane down, leap frog over Adrien Cochrane."

Daymare stops, and they both turn. Daymare runs at Adrien again.

"Daymare ducks a quick clothesline attempt, they turn, boot to the gut of Daymare by Adrien Cochrane."

Cochrane runs to the ropes, comes off of it and jumps.

"Scissor kick by Adrien Cochrane."

Daymare eats mat as Adrien gets back to his feet. Daymare rolls over to his back as Adrien runs at the ropes. he leaps to the second.

"Moonsault that hits his mark!"

The fans pop loud for Adrien Cochrane who gets to his feet in a hurry.

"Cochrane to the corner, climbing the turnbuckles."

Once he is up at the very top he puts his hand over his eyes and peers across the sea of fans as the cameras flash. He turns around and sits on the top turnbuckle.

"Daymare now getting to his feet."

Once Daymare is up, Cochrane stands straight up and leaps, catching his head , then twisting down.

"Tornado DDT from the top rope!"

The roar from the crowd is insane.

"Adrien Cochrane now lifts Daymare to his feet, placing him in a side headlock."

Adrien Cochrane applies pressure to Daymare, however, Daymare is somehow able to slide out of the lock behind Cochrane.

"Daymare with a vertical jump, standing dropkick to the back of Adrien Cochrane. How he was able to do that after that big DDT, amazes me. Daymare proving once again he is one of the most resilient men in professional wrestling today."

Cochrane is sent forward into the ropes, as he hits them and is shot backwards, Daymare runs, leaping to the second and jumping off with an elbow. However, Adrien Cochrane is able to hook his arm in and in one motion carry him over to the mat and into an arm bar.

"Quick thinking by Adrien Cochrane may have gotten this back on track. He applies pressure to Daymare's arm."

Daymare throws his legs forward, and uses the momentum to stand up, twisting out of the arm lock that Cochrane had applied, while at the same time twisting Cochrane over and to the mat. The fans cheer at the back and forward action.

"Daymare to the ropes, he grabs the top, pulls himself up and forcefully leaps to the second, bouncing off with momentum. Daymare crashes down across Cochrane and the referee goes to count. Kick out at one."

The crowd claps as both men begin to get to their feet.

"Cochrane grabs the arm of Daymare, Irish whip into the ropes. Daymare on the return, he leaps with a double leg sitting drop kick, Cochrane ducks and lifts. Quick thinking by Adrien Cochrane as he throws Daymare to the mat. Power bomb."

More clapping. Adrien Cochrane pulls Daymare to his feet.

"Chop by Cochrane, followed by another, and another. Daymare now leans back and comes forward with his own."

Adrien grabs his chest.

"Swift kick to the side of Cochrane's legs by Daymare. Adrien Cochrane to one knee. Daymare runs past him, off the ropes, soccer style kick to the back of Adrien Cochrane's head."

Cochrane falls forward to the mat, holding his head. Daymare leans over him, and bends down. Cochrane throws a leg up, kicking The Angry Mexican in the face.

"Cochrane quickly able to get to his feet. Don't count him out yet folks. He turns Daymare around, whip, no, reversed. Cochrane sent towards the corner."

Daymare runs behind him. As Adrien Cochrane gets to the corner post he grabs the top rope and leaps up. Daymare crashes through the post as Cochrane lands behind him.

"Adrien Cochrane takes advantage of the situation, grabs Daymare's head, inverted DDT!"

He steps over Daymare and climbs the corner post to the top rope. Cameras flash as he holds his arms out before jumping.

"Swanton bomb! He hits his mark."

Adrien lays back across Daymare's chest and the referee drops. As he counts Adrien raises fingers in the air to go along with him.

"DENIED AT TWO! Cochrane can not believe it!"

The crowd rumbles.

"Both men now getting to their feet. Cochrane rushes Daymare. Daymare sidesteps, lifting Adrien and sending him now crashing into the corner post."

Cochrane bounces off of the turnbuckle, Daymare runs and grabs the top ropes, throwing his legs up behind him, wrapping them around Cochrane's neck. He legs go, swinging around.

"Hurricarrana!"

Both men take a moment to catch their breath before rolling over and pushing themselves up.

"Neither man will give up as they both head to their feet."

They slap hands out of respect, then lock up.

"Getting back on track with a lock up. Cochrane with a knee to the gut of Daymare."

He turns grabbing Daymare's head and falling to the mat.

"The Adrien Cutter!"

Cochrane turns and covers Daymare as the referee counts.

"Cochrane pulling off a victory here on Slaughter!"

Who Will Pay the Price?

The action heads to the locker room of the amnesia patient known as DREAM wrestler 501. After waking up from a coma many months ago, Patient Five Zero One has been searching for his identity and the life he had before the attack which left him fighting for his life in a coma.

501’s locker room is one of the barest out of all the DREAM talent backstage. With no personal effects or photos around, all that sits in the place of preparation is a single chair in the dimly lit room. For some reason 501 finds calm in the empty space, as he sits on the solitary chair and prepares to do battle against the finest fighters DREAM has to offer. However despite having to prepare for a triple threat match against new DREAM Champion Lupin Cy and the talented Jay Price, 501 also has another problem on his mind.

One week after the events of Golden Dreams, which saw a mysterious individual promising him the information he seeks in return for his services in targeting an unnamed member of the DREAM roster, 501 must now weight up if he should take up the anonymous figure on their offer. Staring at the photo of the man that he is forced to target, 501 makes a snap decision.

Removing a lighter from his pocket, 501 lights the glossy photo on fire, and then watches carefully as it transforms to white ash on the floor in front of his very eyes. The price of the truth for 501 may very well cost someone their wrestling career tonight. Is it a price that 501 is willing to pay, and what will be the consequences if he is not?

Lay Me an Egg

We cut backstage where the chicKEN Chokers, Dark and B.R. Ellis, are sitting with Poncho, who is dressed in a full chicken costume.

"Do it Poncho."

"No."

"I said do it!"

"No Mister Dark, I will not."

"Why you son of a bit..."

"Hold up Dark, I don't think he can do it."

"Oh, he can, and he will. Or I swear to God I will..."

"No, please Mister Dark."

Dark takes a deep breath. He then lunges at Poncho, grabbing his neck and choking him.

"LAY ME A GOD DAMN EGG YOU SMELLY MEXICAN BASTARD!"

As he he shakes Poncho, B.R. grabs him, pulling him off. Ellis tries to calm his partner down.

"Dark, give him a break. He can't help that he's smelly or that he can't lay an egg."

Dark exhales.

"Fine. Whatever. After our match tonight I'll just take those egg throwing bastard's supply."

Poncho breaths out, relieved as we fade.

Remy Leroux vs. Marshall

'Perfect Strangers' by Deep Purple begins to play. The fans get loud as Remy Leroux, of Universal Wrestling and Legacy of Champions fame, steps out.

"Remy Leroux looking to make up for a loss at Golden Dreams."

Leroux slides into the ring and his music fades.

"F.I.G.H.T." by Unwritten Law hits the arena’s p.a. system and Marshall makes his way out onto the top of the ramp way to a fairly weak, mixed reaction from the crowd.

Marshall makes his way into the ring without wasting time. He walks over to a back corner of the ring and awaits the bell. The bell sounds, signaling the start of the match.

"Stare down by both opponents. Its anybody's move as the crowd intensity soars. Hear we go! Both men rush each other. Marshall goes for a clothesline, but misses as Leroux ducks."

Marshall quickly turns toward Remy who goes for a big boot. Marshall jumps back, a look of surprise on his face.

"It could have been almost over for Marshall if Leroux would have connected. Marshall now taking his time, studying his opponent."

They lock up. Marshall breaks the lock, and quickly delivers a hip toss. Remy grabs his back in pain as he starts to get to his feet.

"Marshall's food meets the gut of Leroux as he was trying to get up. If Marshall can keep him down, he may have this one won."

Remy holds his stomach as he rolls out of the ring.

"It looks like Remy Leroux is trying to regain composure, by taking a break outside the ring."

Marshall rushes the ropes as Remy moves towards the ring. Leroux reaches in under the ropes, sweeping Marshall off of his feet.

"Leroux climbs to the apron. Holding onto the top rope, he uses it to lunge himself over, landing with a leg drop, connecting with Marshall.

The crowd begins to get into the match as Remy Leroux climbs the nearby turnbuckle.

"Leroux flies. Huge elbow drop off the top rope!"

He makes the cover, hooking the leg.

"Kick out at two and nine tenths!"

Making sure not to be discouraged, Remy Leroux rises to his feet as Marshall uses the ropes to get up himself.

"Remy waits patiently behind Marshall, he looks as if he is about to apply a sleeper hold. Instead he just waits for Marshall, waiting to attack."

Marshall holds onto the top rope, looking to the crowd as if he knows something is amiss. Marshall turns and Remy lunges forward.

"Marshall quickly takes Leroux down with a spine buster. He knew it was coming and was ready."

He covers Remy and the referee counts.

"Kick ou.. NO! The referee is calling for the bell. Marshall with a win over Remy Leroux very early in this match!"

Marshall's music hits and he gets up looking around before having his hand raised by the referee.

"Marshall pulls off something special here as he continues to add wins to his record here in the DWF!"

We get a few replays before fading.

Amerika gegen Deutschland

Scott Walburn, a wrestler of German descent, is seen walking around in the backstage area of the Broadbent Arena in Louisville, Kentucky. The old school grappler—only twenty-seven years of age—had a show Louisville earlier in the afternoon, and he decided to drop in and pay Upton Osgood a visit.

Scott walks passed backstage personnel, some DREAM superstars booked on the card—whom are giving him looks; no one recognizes him, and he would have removed from removed from the building if it weren’t for the VISTORS pass clipped to the shirt pocket of his Henley shirt.

Scott knows the ins and outs of every arena in the United States. For a seven-year pro in the sport of professional wrestling, he has toured all the arenas all over the United States more times than he can count, and the Broadbent Arena is no different. Finding the locker room area housing the superstars for tonight’s Slaughter, he turns down that corridor and carefully looking at the names of each template on the doors.

Finding Upton Osgood’s locker room door, he knocks briefly and loudly enough for Upton to hear, and lets himself inside.

"Guten Tag," Scott begins, looking over at Upton Osgood, dressed to compete, sitting on the bench. "Wie ghets?"

Upton Osgood, not knowing a lick of German, arches a brow at his friend. "Did Zero put you up to this?"

Chuckling, Scott sits down next to Upton. "No Ozzy, he didn’t. In fact, I don’t know him. I know that Zero is fluent in German, so I thought I’d mess with you before your match."

Upton relaxes. "Well don’t do that. Zero’s a rising star, and after not doing well at Golden Dreams last week, the last thing I need is something speaking German at me. To me, this is America versus Germany."

"Ah, Amerika gegen Deutschland." Scott muses over the match. "Well, given Germany’s track record against the United States, I say you have a pretty good chance winning this match. We’re two and oh against them; just look at the history: World War I, Germany loses, America wins. World War II: Germany is on their way to take over Europe and quite possibly the world. America comes in, lays the smack-down on Nazi Germany, and the world is safe."

Upton mulls this over in his head. "I suppose you’re right. But this kid’s good."

"True, but I think you can beat him."

Silence. Upton Osgood gets to his feet, and Scott Walburn follows suit. They shake hands and Scott says, "Make your country proud." He chuckles.

Chuckling himself, Upton says, "Aye-aye, captain."

Upton Osgood vs. Zero

The driving industrial cords to Prong’s "No Justice" plays on the PA system. The DWF fans look to the entranceway, waiting for the former Evolution Champion to step out of the curtain. He does so, and the fans erupt with cheers.

YAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Upton Osgood looks to his left, to his right, and then walks down to the ring, in step with the song and to Tommy Victor’s lyrics.

IF YOU’RE TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE
YOU’RE DOING A GOOD JOB OF IT
IFYOU’RE TRYING TO CAUSE ME STRIFE
I’M FALLING RIGHT INTO IT
YOU DON’T WANT THE SAME THINGS AS I
YOU WANT NO PART OF IT
TIRED OF HEARING YOU COME UP WITH LIES
TO COVER UP YOUR PART IN IT

Ring Announcer: Making his way to the ring, from Portland, Oregon, by way of Bangor, Maine. Standing 6’3" and weighing 253 pounds, he is an EPW Hall of Fame inductee, and the former inaugural EPW Evolution Champion, UPTON OSGOOD!!!

NO JUSTICE IN LIFE
NOWHERE TO TURN
ACCUSATIONS AND FIGHTS
THERE’S NOTHING TO LEARN

Upton walks off the entrance ramp and stops, looking out into the crowd again. He waves his arms up and down, riling up the crowd, and they can’t help but cheer and chant the man’s name.

OSGOOD!!!
OSGOOD!!!
OSGOOD!!!

IF YOU WANT BETTER FOR YOURSELF
WHY CAN’T YOU MAKE A POINT OF IT
YOU CHOOSE TO DENY ANY OF MY HELP
WHAT DO YOU WANT OUT OF THIS
CAN’T YOU ADMIT THE FAULT OF YOUR MIND
WHY DON’T YOU COME TO GRIP WITH IT
ALL THE DENIAL CAUSING MORE PAIN
CAN’T YOU SEE I’M SICK OF IT

He slides into the ring. He gets to his feet, climbs a corner and raises his Syndactly-spiked finger in the air.

YAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

WHAT ARE YOUR FANTASIES, I DON’T KNOW
WHY CAN’T YOU COME CLEAN WITH IT
ALL YOUR TABOOS AND ALL OF YOUR LIES
WHY CAN’T YOU COME CLEAN WITH IT

NO JUSTICE IN LIFE
NOWHERE TO TURN
ACCUSATIONS AND FIGHTS
THERE’S NOTHING TO LEARN

NO JUSTICE IN LIFE
NOWHERE TO TURN
ACCUSATIONS AND FIGHTS
THERE’S NOTHING TO LEARN

NO JUSTICE IN LIFE
NO JUSTICE IN LIFE
NO JUSTICE IN LIFE

The music fades away as Upton Osgood hops off the turnbuckle. He waits in his corner. The arena lights dim and flash red momentarily, as a countdown appears on the big screen.

Five...

Four...

Three...

Two...

One...

Zero.

"Reise, Reise" by Rammstein starts to blast out of the arena sound system, as wisps of smoke float across the stage. Zero appears from behind the curtain dressed in a long black overcoat, his painted face betraying no emotion as he strides down to the ring and dives headfirst under the bottom rope, climbing to his feet and shrugging off his coat as the lights return to their usual hue.

"Upton Osgood will face Zero tonight in singles competition here on Slaughter."

The bell sounds.

"We're off, lock up by Upton Osgood and Zero."

Zero pushes forward and breaks the lock. The go at it again.

"Lock up again, this time Zero pulls Osgood into a side headlock."

Upton sells the hell out of the headlock as Zero applies pressure. He then wraps his arms around Zero's waist and lifts, falling back.

"They hit the mat, and Upton is able to use the ropes to pull himself up. He needs to make an offensive attack now if he plans on winning this match."

As Zero begins to get up, Upton grabs his head and pulls him the rest of the way up.

"Zero whipped into the ropes. As he returns, Upton lifts him up on his shoulders and falls back. Samoan drop!"

Osgood rolls out to the apron, and stands up. He then begins to climb the nearby turnbuckle from the outside.

"Upton Osgood goes up top. As he leaps he throws his arms out. Osgood connects with a headbutt!"

He immediately readjust himself and hooks the leg of Zero. The referee drops to count.

"Kick out at two, Zero isn't out of this yet."

As Upton gets up, he pulls Zero up with him.

"Half way up, Zero pushes Upton Osgood back. Quick jab to the eyes."

Upton grabs his eyes in pain, turning away from Zero.

"Zero runs, BULL DOG! He plants Upton's face into the mat after that eye jab."

Zero gets on his knees, lifts Upton's head and begins to slam it repeatedly into the mat.

"Zero doesn't play by the rules as he uses pure aggressiveness and power to regain control in this match up."

Zero drops Upton's head and gets to his feet.

"Zero rolls Upton over and lifts his leg. Elbow drop to the inner thigh of Osgood."

Zero gets up again, and lifts both legs this time.

"Stomp to the inner thigh of Osgood, followed by another."

He then grasp Upton's legs tighter and leans back, falling to the mat.

"Slingshot! Upton slams into that turnbuckle!"

As Osgood bounces off the corner post, he stumbles back and turns into a boot to his gut from Zero.

"Zero jumps, lifting his knee into the face of Upton Osgood."

Upton hits the mat as Zero runs and bounces off the ropes.

"Zero leaps, leg drop across the chest of Upton Osgood. It may be over for Osgood."

Zero covers his opponent and waits for the referee to count.

"Kick out by Upton Osgood!"

Zero slaps the mat and gets to his feet. He yanks Upton up with him.

"Irish whip by Zero, no, reversed. Zero off the ropes, spinning heel kick by Osgood!"

As Zero flies back to the mat, Upton collapses to one knee.

"Osgood still recovering from the damage done by Zero."

Upton stands up, but falls to one knee again.

"I think Osgood may have injured that knee. This can't be good for Upton Osgood."

Zero uses the ropes to get to his feet. He looks at Upton, struggling to get up.

"Zero takes this opportunity as he runs at Upton Osgood. Shining Wizard... NO!"

Upton grabs up under Zero's legs as he come sat him, lifts and falls backward.

"Osgood able to counter! Osgood able to counter!"

Upton gets up. He shows a bit of uncomfortableness in his knee as he walks over and drops an elbow to Zero.

"Osgood lifts Zero. Irish whip. He catches himself by the top rope!"

Zero holds onto the top rope as Upton runs at him with a clothesline that sends both of them over and crashing to the floor.

"Both men hit the floor on the outside with momentum. That's got to hurt."

The referee leans over the top rope and begins his count.

"On the outside, Zero trying to get to his feet."

Once up, Zero grabs Upton and pulls him halfway up, before he hits Zero in the gut.

"Osgood not out yet."

He slams Zero in the gut again before getting all the way to his feet.

"Osgood with the whip, no, reversed. Upton Osgood sent into the guard rail."

He leans over the top of the barrier. Zero runs, leaps up and over him, bringing a leg down across the upper back of Upton Osgood, and landing in the fan area, obviously wrong as he grabs his lower back and rolls in pain.

"Zero took a chance that paid off but may have also backfired!"

Upton rolls around in pain outside of the barrier as Zero pulls himself up from the fan area, and flops over to the floor beside Upton.

"Upton and Zero both in pain on the outside, and it's too late to for them to get back to the ring as the referee hits ten."

The bell sounds.

"We will end this one with a double count out, hopefully we can get some medical attention down here as we go to commercial break."

No where to hide...

We pick up with the Bandits. All four men look exactly the same as stated before. They are gathered together, standing around the staging area. Small chatter can be heard from a few of the stagehands occupying the small area. One of them, some poor soul, (you’ll see) musters up the courage and approaches the Bandits. He says…

"Hey, I heard you guys were looking for Lupin Cy… I just saw him head into the bathroom. It’s right down the hall…"

Jiles once again takes off, no bag in his way to trip Mr. Cool up . No, this time around it was an unexpecting stagehand that caused the COOL Champ to stumble… This was no COOLBOILED either. This was an ugly fall, seeing both men tumble hard to the ground. Jiles, quick to his feet, stares down at the lonely sap. The rest of the stagehands, I guess his ’back-up’ have fled the scene of the crime. You can imagine what’s coming next…

"Get the fu… Do you know who I am?"

"Uh…"

"Oh my god! Whammy, get me an egg! NOW!!"

Whammy frowns, but succumbs and hands Jiles an egg which is then fired and lands square in the middle of the poor guy who was minding his own business chest. Jiles, not quite satisfied…

"Another…"

Same thing.

"Another…"

"That enough Jiles. We don’t have time for this petty bullshit. Let’s go…"

The Bandits quickly dash off towards the bathroom. Hopefully Lupin is still in there. They stealthily enter, and notice that only one ‘shitter’ is occupied. The Dude and Whammy enter the stalls on to the left and right, each has a few eggs in their hands…

Doozy and Cancer wait outside of the occupied door. CCJ bends down to check, and sees a pair of shoes. He then whispers to Doozer…

"He’s in there…"

The Dooze nods his head, acknowledging his Tag Team Champion counterpart. He then starts the silent countdown by raising his clenched fist high in the air, so all The Bandits can see. Think, Black Panther. It seems like these guy have done this before, as the attack is clearly organized. A well thought out plan… I’m shocked. When his final finger goes erect, Whammy and The Dude reach their hands over the top of the side walls of the stall, and drop the eggs once occupying their mitts…

"What the…"

Says the egg covered victim, his shower is far from over though. Allowing poor Lupin no time to react, Mr. Cool kicks the door in. Egg yolks and shells cover the Dream Champion, making it hard to see his actual facial expressions to the Champions Club initiation. I don’t think he is smiling. CCJ and The Dooze fire a few eggs each, both scoring face and somewhat exposed crotch shots… The whole attack couldn’t have been longer than 5 seconds. I would say it was perfectly done. The Bandits flee the scene, leaving their first victim of the night with his pants around his ankles… and of course, covered in yolk. They run out towards the ring, and all stop dead in their tracks as they pass the new Dream Champion, the supposed egg victim, Lupin Cy in the hallway…

We now find out the yolky kicker, We cut back to the bathroom, the man resting on the ‘John‘, with at least 12-15 eggs he didn’t plan on having still covering his demoralized body, shrieks…

"Are you fucking serious!!!!!!!!!!! Damn you BANDITS!!!!!!!!!!"

The scream is so loud… and so ferocious, it echoes through out the entire building. Even the fans in the arena can hear the voice that is so discernable… it can only belong to one man.

We quick change, back to Cancer and Doozer. They have parted ways with the rest of Bandits and are once again occupying the staging area. No stagehands hanging around minding their owe business this time around though. I guess they took the hint.

Daps and Pounds starts blasting over the PA, as the fans jump to their feet in a frenzy. Before The Tag Team Champs head out to the ring, CCJ leans over and says to Doozy.

"I think we just egged Zyldick again."

Yeah CJ, you did. Good job. So much for a well executed plan.

Oh well, sucks to be Zylbert (some things never change).

eGG Bandits vs. Brothers of Prophecy vs. chicKEN Chokers

"Never Would Have Made It" by Marvin Sapp plays over the PA system and Brothers of Prophecy stand at the top of the ramp with each carrying a Bible. They raise the Bibles over their heads and keep them that way as they make their way to the ring. They set the Bibles on the commentators table and slide into the ring.

'As he transforms to a whole 'nother being... SUPER DUPER...'

'Daps and pounds' hits the PA, The Dooze and Mr. Cool make there way down to ringside. Half way, the two Bandits open on on the spectators... tossing random eggs into the crowd, the dumb fans act as if they were free hot dogs. The smart fans, knowing their calling card, pull out and open up their umbrellas. Used to shield themselves from the forthcoming EGGING onslaught.

Mr. Cool and The Dooze show no bias, as children, grown men, and old ladies who for some reason come to our show, are unmercifully pulverized with Eggs by the Bandits. Eventually, the EGGING subsides and Egg Bandits climb into the ring, and await the bell.

'Binge and Purge' by Clutch hits the P.A. System. From the back runs a giant chicken. Ok, so it's Poncho in a chicken suit, but he rushes down the ramp clucking like crazy.

"The chicKEN Chokers' friend, Poncho, making his way to the ring."

Poncho runs around the ring flapping his arms as he circles it. Finally he slides into the ring. The Brothers of Prophecy slide out as the eGG Bandits begin stomping him.

"Brothers of Prophecy want nothing to do with the assault on Poncho as Cancer Jiles and Doozer welcome to chicken suited little person. But we must wander, where are the chicKEN Chokers? We already know that Chris Bladez and Travis Williams are not in attendance tonight. Could this be a two on two tag match?"

Doozer lifts Poncho up and holds him as Cancer leaps up and drops a leg across the back of Poncho. At that point, Dark and B.R. Ellis come from the crowd, and slide into the ring.

"The chicKEN Chokers!"

As they enter the ring they rush behind the eGG Bandits, both hitting them with forearms to the back.

"Sneak attack by the chicKEN Chokers pays off, as they are now stomping away at the eGG Bandits."

The referee rushes over and pushes them back. They continue to yell and curse at the eGG Bandits.

"The referee attempting to gain some order so we can start the match."

The Brothers slide into the ring as the eGG Bandits use the ropes to pull themselves up. Poncho rolls out of the ring.

"It looks as if the referee is going to have Billy Wilson and Dark start things out in this six man tag match as he sends everyone else to their respective corners."

As they wait, the bell sounds.

"Lock up by Dark and Billy Wilson. Wilson takes control with a knee to the gut of the chicKEN Choker. Dark whipped across the ring, off the ropes and taken down by a clothesline from Billy Wilson."

Wilson claps his hands together and looks up, praising Jesus before lifting Dark to his feet.

"Billy Wilson pulls back, hard chop across the chest of the former World Champion. He follows up with an elbow to the head of Dark."

Billy grabs Dark's head now and pulls him over, tagging in Bob. He holds Dark as his brother gets into the ring.

"Bob Wilson takes over as he grabs Dark and sends him into the ropes. As Dark returns, Wilson leap with a back elbow smash sending the Illustrated Man to the mat again."

Bob immediately comes down with a fist to the forehead of Dark before getting up and tagging Billy back in.

"Billy Wilson back in the ring. The Brothers of Prophecy working well together tonight."

Billy walks over and lifts Dark's leg up, dropping a knee to the inner thigh of Dark. As he gets up, he pulls Dark's leg up with him, yanking on it.

"Billy Wilson working the leg of Dark."

He stomps the inner thigh of Dark now.

"Still holding onto Dark's leg, Bob Wilson is tagged back into the ring."

Bob enters and picks up Dark's other leg. they both yank.

"Trying to make a wish as they pull Dark's legs apart."

Billy exits to the apron as B.R. Ellis yells for Dark to get up.

"Bob Wilson pulls Dark to his feet. Stiff right, followed by another. Wilson sends Dark to the ropes."

Dark sees a body and reaches out, tagging Doozer.

"Dark makes a tag to Doozer, not knowing or I think even caring that he didn't tag his own partner."

Doozer enters the ring and runs at Bob Wilson.

"Clothesline takes Wilson down!"

Doozer spins around and leaps.

"Double knee drop to Wilson now from the Superman!"

The fans get behind their hero as he jumps to his feet.

"Doozer runs, off the ropes for momentum. He now struts before dropping an elbow to Bob Wilson."

Doozer lifts Wilson to his feet. He then places him in a side headlock.

"Bob Wilson struggles a bit but breaks to hold with a kick to Doozer's mid section."

Doozer catches himself and charges Bob Wilson, who takes him down with a drop toe hold.

"Bob Wilson quickly attaches the cross face with arm bar. Trying to regain control of this match for his team."

Doozer reaches for the bottom rope and grabs it.

"Bob Wilson unwillingly releases Doozer from the cross face, maneuvers to his feet."

Doozer uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet, as Bob Wilson waits, itching to attack. Once up, Doozer turns to see Bob Wilson charge him.

"Doozer catches Bob Wilson in a belly to belly position. Suplex! That was executed perfectly."

Doozer quickly pulls Bob Wilson to his feet. He hooks him in belly to back.

"Suplex! Doozer holds on, pushes himself up with Bob Wilson still hooked in, ANOTHER! He still holds tight."

Doozer delivers a third belly to back suplex on Bob Wilson, this time releasing him as he falls back. The crowd pops.

"Billy Wilson enters the ring. He rushes Doozer."

Doozer catches him and lifts.

"SPINE BUSTER!"

B.R. Ellis now enters and runs. Doozer catches him as well.

"SPINE BUSTER ON ELLIS!"

He quickly covers Bob Wilson. As he does, Dark rushes the ring. This time Cancer Jiles runs to the rescue, leaping forward with a super kick.

"TERMINAL CANCER AS DOOZER COVERS WILSON!"

Dark hits the mat hard as the referee continues his count.

"The eGG Bandits win! The champions pull off yet another impressive victory tonight on Slaughter!"

As their music hits, Doozer and Cancer celebrate in the ring. We get a few replays before going to commercial.

Strictly Business

The DREAM cameras head backstage where they pick up the unexpected sight of Mike Polowy who is here in the arena tonight! Polowy looks to have a determined look on in his face despite not being booked for action tonight. After his shock elimination in the main event last week at Golden Dreams, Polowy is not dressed for combat, and looks to be heading out to the ring to address the fans as he walks down the corridor.

Suddenly Polowy’s concentration seems to be broken as he hears something behind him. Polowy spins around to see where the noise came from, but cannot see anything. Shaking his head and putting it down to creaky floorboards, Polowy turns back around to head towards the ring. Polowy is walking with a purpose now, he must really have something he wants to get off his chest in front of the fans here in Lousiville, despite not being expected to be in attendance tonight.

Polowy turns the corner in the corridor to head to the back of the entrance stage, but as he does, he walks straight into a sledgehammer shot to the face! Polowy drops straight to the floor nearly unconscious. With his last piece of energy before passing out, Polowy looks up through his bloodied vision and sees the ominous figure of Patient Five Zero One standing over him, sledgehammer in hand.

"Nothing personal mate. Its just business."

The strong British accent of 501 is the last thing that Polowy hears before everything slips to black, and he loses consciousness due to the ferocious sledgehammer shot to the face.

With Polowy down and out after the surprise attack from 501, was Polowy the man that 501 was told to target at Golden Dreams? Is so by whom and why? The fans are left asking these questions as 501 slowly walks away from the scene, showing no emotion at the attack he has just carried out. Will he now be provided with the information he was promised regarding his true identity?

Lupin Cy vs. Jay Price vs. 501

The lights in the arena all go out except for two spotlights shining in the ring. The spotlights pan out into the crowd and begin circling the people in attendance as they all stand up and begin booing.

The spotlights go out and blasts of red and white pyro go off from the ends of the stage. The spotlights come back on, this time focused on the center of the stage as Lloyd Banks "Lights, Camera, Packin" begins blasting out of the arena's PA system. The big screen is still black but the word Kiladelphia, written in bold white letters, begins fading in and out. One more blast of red and white pyro go off at the ends of the stage as silver sparks rain down on the center. Jay Price steps out from behind the falling sparks with his head down, both spotlights now focused on him. He's dressed in his ring attire, consisting of red wrestling boots with black laces and a pair of black shorts that come halfway down his thighs. The big screen is now showing various moments from Price's career, including his win over Anastasia Petrova where he won the WCF TV Title, the moment at WCF's WAR PPV where he stood proudly alongside Torture after aligning himself with the ToT, and various instances of him hitting the Busted Grill and Kiladelphia Driver.

Price stands at the top of the ramp as the crowd begins booing him and chanting random obscenities at him, but he shows no signs of caring what they think. The lights at this time are still out as both spotlights continue to shine on him. He lifts his head and stares down his opponent with a smirk on his face. He begins to walk down the ramp slowly, taking his time to make the opponent wait on him. As he makes his way to the ring steps the crowds booing intensifies because he is taking his time, but he doesn't care. He finally makes his way into the ring where he holds his arms up above his head, closing his eyes as he seems to soak in the boos that are raining down on him. He steps back towards his corner and the spotlights that were shining on him go out and the arena's lights come back on. Price will then begin waiting for the match to begin with a confident, yet arrogant, smirk on his face.

"Run With the Wolves" by the Prodigy hits the sound system and the lights in the arena dim as Patient Five-Zero-One steps ominously onto the top of the entrance stage. He pauses for effect at the top whilst looking out around at the crowd with a grimace on his face. The darkness in the arena is interrupted by flashing strobe lights as Five-Zero-One slowly walks down the entrance ramp. Five-Zero-One finally reaches the ring, and he slides in before posing for the crowd once more on the nearest turnbuckle.

As "Pure Morning" by Placebo comes melodically flowing through the arena's sound system, the mysterious form that is Lupin Cy comes speeding down the ramp from the backstage area. Just as Cy begins a head-first slide into the ring, green fireworks launch from the top of all four turnbuckles. Lupin wildly keeps the energy going for the crowd by spinning in circles, pointing out to the masses as he does so. After ascending one of the turnbuckles to deliver a single fist salute to the crowd, Cy steps back down to the mat and shakes out a few stretches and rope pulls.

"Non title triple threat action coming your way!"

As all three men stand in the ring, the bell sounds.

"The main event is under way!"

501 drops to the mat and slides backwards out of the ring. Both Price and Cy stare at him.

"Patient Five Zero One, opting to not be in the ring, but why? Rumors have been flying all week that he believes he should be wearing that DREAM Championship and refuses to fight Lupin until he gets his one on one shot."

Cy and Price waste no more time as they kick things off.

"Both men skip the foreplay, and go straight to exchanging rights and lefts."

Cy blocks a right from Price, delivering a series of straight punches. He pushes him back into the ropes and uses them to whip Jay across the ring.

"Jay Price flies off the ropes with momentum. He hits across the ring. On the return now, he leaps, catching Lupin Cy off guard with a shoulder!"

Jay gets to his feet, then immediately jumps up and drops a knee into Cy's chest.

"Lupin Cy in a world of hurt right now as Jay Price stands above him."

Price jumps over Lupin, hits the ropes and returns.

"Jay leaps, this time coming down with a fist drop. He goes for a pin."

The referee begins to count.

"Kick out at two. Lupin isn't out of this match yet."

As Jay begins to get to his feet, he pulls Lupin up with him.

"Cy with a fist to the midsection of Jay Price."

He raises all the way up, places Jay' head between his arm and body, the falls back.

"That's how you begin a comeback. DDT by Lupin Cy."

He now goes for a cover.

"Kick out by Jay at about one and a half."

Both Jay and Lupin uses the ropes to pull themselves to their feet. As they meet in the middle of the ring, Lupin catches Jay with a boot to the stomach.

"Lupin Cy going for a suplex. Denies by Jay Price. Now, Price with the reversal. Suplex. He floats over, pinning Lupin Cy again. Another kick out."
Both men get to their feet and lock back up.

"Lupin Cy taking control, placing Jay Price in a wrist lock. Reversal by Price."

Cy maneuvers around, to now have Jay's arm locked behind him.

"Cy back in control."

Jay throws his free arm around, and rakes Lupin Cy's eyes causing him to let go.

"Jay Price gets free. Elbow to the face of Lupin Cy followed by a whip into the ropes."

Price bends over to catch Cy on the return.

"The only thing Jay Price catches is a knee to the face by Lupin Cy."

Price hits the mat, but is quickly lifted to his feet by Cy.

"Knee to the stomach of Price, followed by a forearm smash."

Jay Price goes to one knee. Lupin Cy hits the ropes, returning with his leg out. Jay catches Lupin and lifts up, falling backwards.

"Lupin Cy is sent face first into the mat!"

Price quickly locks in an ankle lock, but Cy is able to grab the bottom rope with ease.

"Jay Price was looking to shut it down with that ankle lock."

Lupin rolls out of the ring. When Price is close to the ropes, Cy reaches in, yanking his feet from under him.

"Lupin Cy pulls Jay Price outside the ring."

As soon as Price hits the floor, Cy attacks with rights and lefts.

"Price blocks a right, and delivers his own."

Finally, 501 interjects himself into the match as he runs and leaps.

"Splash that takes down both Lupin Cy and Jay Price! 501 is a fresh man in this match as he has been outside the ring the entire time! I think Lupin and Jay forgot he was even there!"

501 pulls himself up using the apron. He waits behind both men, who are getting up. Almost taunting them. As they both turn, 501 runs.

"Double arm clothesline! 501 is on a roll!"

Five Zero One rolls jay Price into the ring before following himself.

"501 lifts Price to his feet, placing him in a side headlock."

Price pushes 501 off of him, and into the ropes. As he returns Price bends over to grab him, but 501 comes up with a knee to his face. Price stumbles back and 501 leaps forward with a quick clothesline.

"501 crashes through Price."

Jay flips around to his stomach and reaches up, grabbing 501's foot before he can get back to his feet. Quickly he places him in an ankle lock.

"Price able to turn a bad situation into a possible show winner as he tries to snap the ankle of Five-Zero-One."

501 uses his free foot to kick at Jay Price until he is able to get him to let go. Both men get to their feet, 501 wincing as he puts pressure on his ankle. Outside, Lupin Cy is on his feet. He climbs the apron and heads towards a nearby turnbuckle.

"Jay Price with a chop to the leg of 501 sending him to one knee. He immediately places Patient Five-Zero-One in a tight sleeper."

501 flings his arms around but can't seem to fight the sleep as he begins to pass out.

"If Jay Price can keep this locked in, he'll pick up a big win here tonight."

The referee holds 501's arm up and drops it. He tries again, it falls. The ref picks it up for the last time and drops it again, this time, 501 is able to stop it from falling half way down. He clenches his fist and begins to try and get momentum. the fans show their support and scream for him as he begins to push himself up with Price still attached. Cy sits on the top rope waiting.

"501 getting to his feet, he may be able to turn this match around right here. But look at Lupin Cy perched up top!"

501 puts an elbow into the gut of Price causing him to let go. He twist around and boots Price in the gut, grabs both arms and jumps into a Double Arm DDT.

"The Head Scrambler from out of nowhere!"

As 501 looks up, Lupin leaps from the top.

"Swanton crashing through 501! Lupin covers him and the referee counts."

Jay Price tries to get up, but it's too late.

"Price out of time as the DREAM Champion, Lupin Cy, picks up a pin fall over 501!"

Jay hits the mat.

"I can tell you this, it is not over for any of these men. Especially 501 as he is waiting on his one on one match with Lupin Cy for the DREAM Championship!"

Lupin's music hits and he is handed the belt which he holds high.

"What a proud champion as Lupin Cy displays his title to the fans."

The camera zooms in on Lupin with a shot of 501 in the background with his hands on his hips as we fade to black.
