Earlier this week, JFK, Kendrix, whatever name you wish to use surprised some by fulfilling the hopes of the UTA Owner Mikey Unlikely and becoming the new WrestleUTA World Heavyweight Champion.  There was some speculation this week that the match would not occur between the "Golden Boy" of management and the crowd's favorite Andy Murray due to a shoulder injury Murray had sustained earlier in the week.

The match went on and we saw a new, more viscous and aggressive side of Kendrix before he locked in the Kendrick Kross and forcing  a valiant but obviously not at 100% "King of Scottish Style" to tap out.  With management's support and involvement in his affairs, we could be in for a long reign by the new champion.  It's also possible that with Murray soon to be at 100%, Crimson Lord,  and Scott Stevens all looking for a piece of the new champion, his reign could be a short one.

Either way, his celebration on the next episode of WrestleUTA on Hula promises to be a lively and interesting affair, so don't miss it as we kick off 2017!
