BREAKING: MURRAY INJURED IN TRAINING, TITLE MATCH IN JEOPARDY

Posted by Andy Murray on 20 Dec 2016

We're just seven days away from crowning the first WrestleUTA Champion of the Mikey Unlikely, but there's bad news coming out of Andy Murray's gym in San Diego, California.

Reports suggest that Murray, 39, has suffered an undisclosed shoulder injury while sparring with students at his Fight Chance Gym training school. There's no word on the severity yet, but it's said to be causing the giant Scot significant discomfort to the point where he might not be able to wrestle on Tuesday.

It's devastating news ont only for Murray, but for the UTA as a whole. If Murray is forced to withdraw, Mikey Unlikely faces a last minute scramble to find a suitable opponent for Kendrix, whose pathway to title glory suddenly looks a whole lot clearer.

We'll bring you more on this story as it develops.
